The Wolf's Tale & The Dancing Princess
May 10-18, 2008

"The Wolf's Tale".  In this colorful and comical program we see the familiar stories of Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs from the wolf's point of view.
"The Dancing Princess" is an old fashioned fairy tale based loosely on Hans Christian Andersen's the "Twelve Dancing Princesses" and a similar tale from the Ukraine.

A Message from the Board President - Dan Gunderson
On behalf of the board of directors, our staff, and our volunteers, we would like to welcome you to The Historic Everett Theatre. We are happy to present to you our 2007-2008 season. The new season includes classic theatre, musicals, comedy, mysteries, and children's shows. Our mission, "enriching the community through performing arts and theatre preservation" defines us, as one of the very few true "community theatres" left in the greater Puget Sound. The Historic Everett Theatre celebrates it's 106th year with new enthusiasm as the city works to bring Everett to the forefront of the arts.

New Everett Theatre
In 1901 the Everett Theatre opened as one of 12 theatres in the City of Everett. Everett was the theatre center of the Northwest at that time. After a fire destroyed most of the theatre in 1921, the theatre was reopened as ìThe New Everett Theatreî.

We have gone through a similar transformation in the last decade. The Historic Everett Theatre, now over 106 years old, has evolved from a place that needed remodeling, producing lower budget, non-royalty theatre pieces, and scattered rentals, to The New Everett Theatre. In keeping with the history surrounding the theatre, the Board of Directors decided to complete the revitalization of the historic theatre by taking again the name of ìThe New Everett Theatreî.

The New Everett Theatre is a 106 year old historic theatre, fully remodeled, with seating for 834, which produces and co-produces contemporary and classic theatre, as well as, community events and rentals. With a full schedule of productions and rentals we provide a place for over 300 community volunteers to practice their craft and to participate in all aspects of the theatre experience.

The New Everett Theatre is a vital piece of the arts revitalization of the downtown Everett corridor. It is a busy, exciting place for the community to gather, show their talent and volunteer their time.

In our 2007-2008 season we will be presenting a full schedule of our own productions and we will co-produce with other arts organizations including; Driftwood Theatre, Sky Valley Performing Arts, Seattle Comedy Underground, Everett Women's Film Festival, Everett Irish Cabaret, and Animaticus Foundation to name a few.
